About Us
Welcome to Aspire Football Academy!
Our names are Adam Kelsey and Sam Riches, and we are the proud founders of Aspire Football Academy. After 5 successful years of running Aspire Goalkeeping from 2020-2025, it's now time to expand! We have over 15 years combined in the professional game, whether that be in professional academies, coaching in academies, or playing professionally.
Aspire Football Academy exists to shape the next generation of footballers through a blend of elite coaching, character development, and a genuine love for the game. We believe that every young player deserves an environment where they feel supported, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential—on and off the pitch.
Our programmes are built on a simple principle: Football development should be the focus. That means technical excellence, tactical understanding, physical conditioning, psychological growth and social understanding all matter. But so do confidence, resilience, teamwork, and respect. At Aspire, we coach the player and the person.
Led by experienced coaches, the academy provides a structured pathway for players of all abilities. Whether an individual is taking their first steps in the sport or pushing toward elite performance, we offer tailored sessions, modern training methods, and a positive learning culture that encourages continuous improvement.

Aspire offer the chance for all the kids to do an extra hour of training for £6.50.
It gives them the opportunity to really put into practice what they are being taught during lessons. My son loves every minute.
We love this style of coaching for our ten year old. Its a no nonsense, you come to put effort in approach, which means you get none of the distractions of kids messing around which takes time away from the learning. Shes really improved since starting with aspire. We find it less repetitive than other groups weve been to, and here the kids seem to know whats excepted of them and are all there to
Learn. We don't often recommend things but have recommended the Friday sessions to a few friends who have since joined and also love it! The only downside I can think of is as they expand the groups will get bigger and smaller groups mean they get more time on the ball and in the net, however Ive heard they may have a plan for expansion so fingers crossed we will see!!
Highly recommend any aspiring goalkeepers to join these coaching sessions. Developing fundamental techniques through well planned drills, pushing you to do your best, constant individual feedback even during group sessions. These coaches are so dedicated and they deliver the sessions in such an engaging way, it's a pleasure to watch for the parents! My son's all round ability and confidence has noticeably improved since joining Aspire and it's thanks to these coaches.
The coaches are excellent and are very knowledgeable. They push you to do your best, but accommodate all skill levels. They work on basics and higher level skills for all ages.
Would highly recommend the team at Aspire to any goalkeepers looking to develop. Really positive, fun sessions. Our son thoroughly enjoys it and has seen the positives in his development.
Cannot recommend Aspire goal keeping coaching enough. The coaches are extremely knowledgable, enthusiastic, encouraging, positive and engaging. The sessions they run are varied, fast-paced and really help with technique but most importantly they’re fun!
These gloves at this price point are brilliant, my son plays for York City Academy and has been using top brand names costing £££s, the grip is superb, they are light, the strap is strong, shock absorbtion is good and they feel and look of good quality, cant praise them highly enough....
